Making Adventure Possible for young people in Kingston
Listen to some French rap music in France; enjoy some delicious Belgian chocolate in Belgium; tell the tale of your visit to Hans Christian Andersen's statue in Denmark. Those are just a few examples of the diverse countries of Europe and what they have to offer.
- Explore European countries and cultures with other young people.
- Expand your horizons.
- Experience new challenges, life skills and adventure.
- Exchange ideas, attitudes and opinions.
- Exist somewhere else.
In the Summer of 2008 a group of young people will travel to Romania to explore and socialise with the young people there. It gives everyone involved the opportunity to travel and discover a different lifestyle.
Interviews were held last December to select the group members, aged between 14-17, who organised the trip details and fundraising and who will be travelling to Bucharest and Bacau.
The group have also worked on producing a DVD to send to Romania to give the young people there some background information about who they are.
