Kingston Junior Drama Company

The Kingston Junior Drama Company offers high quality creative drama leading to public performances. The recommended age range is 10-14 years.
The company was established in 2007 to provide opportunities for local children with a strong interest, enthusiasm and potential in drama. We produce a production at the end of each 10 week term, and so plenty of commitment and energy is required. Previous productions: Paradise, Rough Play, Rediscovering Alice, Departures, The Fairyland Trials, The Family From One End Street, The Runaways, Wishes, My Universe.
Members of the company have worked professionally in theatre and television. Appearances include The Ragged Child at the Rose Theatre, Kingston, George’s Marvellous Medicine for The Birmingham Stage Company; Allan Swift’s production of None But Friends; Peter Hall’s production of A Midsummer Night’s Dream and Tricky TV for ITV.
The company is run by David Lawson Lean. David is a freelance Drama Practitioner and Children’s Playwright. He has directed the company since its foundation in 2007.
