Band Rehearsals and Recordings

The Live Room at the studio has been professionally acoustically designed to ensure quality sound and optimum performance conditions. If your neighbours are tired of hearing you and your band practicing in your garage, then consider booking some time in the studio instead!

If you want to make a professional quality recording of you or your band, let the team of experienced engineers at the studio assist you. With state-of-the-art facilities and equipment, whether you're recording a full album or just looking for a quick demo, Hook Studio is all you need.

Discounted rates this summer for under 18s!

This summer from 26th July to 1st September, under 18s get discounted rates for band rehearsals and recording bookings during the day (10am-5pm).

Here's what you can do this summer at Hook Studio:

Animation Workshop

A comprehensive five hour course where participants will use cameras and software to produce their own animations.

Young Producers (Beginners-Intermediate)

Explore the key elements of music technology in a creative and productive way. The course will explore sequencing, the use of virtual instruments, MIDI programming, creating beats, structuring a piece of music, mastering, using FX and making a CD.

Getting Started with Music Technology

Enjoy making music? Want to learn to compose? This fun and creative course will give you an insight into how to use music production software, how to record and how to go about making your own CD.

Drumming Circle

The djembe (African drum) is one of the most popular percussion instruments worldwide. Djembe circles can be found from beaches in Costa Rica to parks in Russia. Playing a drum has been proven to be therapeutic, social, improve intelligence and of course lots and LOTS of FUN. You will learn the most common African drum patterns plus have plenty of chance to make up your own beats. Drums are provided but you are welcome to bring your own.

Youngsters Film Workshop

A one day film course for younger students.

A two day course exploring software in the audio visual world of film. Participants will experience all aspects of film making from storyboarding to editing.
