For just the third time in history, 325 Members of Youth Parliament (MYP) from around the UKwill be representing young people at the House of Commons on Friday 4th November 2011, Kingston's MYP Rhammel Afflick will be amongst them pushing the views of the young people of Kingston. This is a unique opportunity as the UK Youth Parliament is the only organisation other than MP's to be allowed into the House of Commons to debate.

The 5 topics that will be debated came aboutwhen MYP's managed togather the views of over 65,000 young people through the 'Make Your Mark' Campaign, giving them the chance to decide what they thought were the most important issues to young people in the UK. The five topics to be debated include: Provision of public transport for young people, a graduate tax analternative to tuition fees, zero tolerance towards bullying in schools, end child poverty and making Britain a greener place. Most of these issues are issues that the young people of Kingston are passionate about which is great news.
