Transition to Adulthood Information Pack for young people with disabilitiesKingston Council has launched a transition information pack, aimed at young people with disabilities and their parents or carers - in order to help them cope with the difficult life changes they face as they progress into adulthood. The guide was put together with help from some of the borough’s disabled young people, who provided their thoughts and insights about the transition to adulthood, and made a significant contribution to the production of the pack. The pack provides information on: the transition process for young people in Kingston with disabilities aged 14+; information about who can provide support during this process; and what things to be thinking about before and during transition. |
