Do something positive with your free time and become a volunteer. There are many different volunteering opportunities available in Kingston for a variety of organisations.
Why volunteer?

Volunteering Opportunities
Rose Theatre Kingston
If you're interested in theatre, then you can help Rose Theatre Kingston. Without it's team of committed volunteers, the theatre could not operate. There are volunteer positions as ushers, greeters, office helpers and Rose ambassadors (distributing leaflets and posters).
For ushering positions, be aware that ushers for evening performances leave the theatre quite late at night.

Kingston Primary Care Trust (PCT)
Kingston NHS PCT works to deliver the best health care to the population of Kingston. If you are interested in volunteering in health care, there are opportunities for working with patients in a non-clinical role; working with community clients by providing transport to clinics; and administration and clerical work.
Volunteer from as little as 2-3 hours per week. A minimum of six months service is expected, after which they'll be happy to provide you with a reference if you need it for a paid job or for applying to a University, etc.
Minimum age 16 (18 if working in mental health).
