Oxygen Mentoring

Oxygen mentoring offers support for young people throughout Kingston Borough who could benefit from someone to talk to. Through mentoring young people are given a place where they can think through issues relating to themselves, their social environment as well as their hopes, dreams and beliefs. Oxygen mentors are trained, CRB checked volunteers. They are supported by a Mentor supervisor, who as well as being available in the case of emergency offers regular support.

Friday Night Events at The Basement

Learn about running events, gain skills in running sound and lights , help promote bands, comedy or movies. Do all this and stay busy on Friday nights at the basement, a partnership project between Oxygen and the YMCA. Volunteer on Friday nights and you can help put on some great events for young people whilst also having some fun yourself!

Rose Theatre Kingston

If you're interested in theatre, then you can help Rose Theatre Kingston. Without it's team of committed volunteers, the theatre could not operate. There are volunteer positions as ushers, greeters, office helpers and Rose ambassadors (distributing leaflets and posters).

Do you want to be at the heart of the action? Do you want to be where the magic happens? Do you want to be on the greatest team since the A Team? Then you need to become a Volunteer Usher at the Rose Theatre, Kingston!

We provide full training and support. We also have a brilliant loyalty scheme so that your generous efforts are rewarded. As a Volunteer Usher you will be placed directly in front of the public – providing them with a top class experience for their visit to this fantastic, new, modern theatre on outskirts of Greater London.

For ushering positions, be aware that ushers for evening performances leave the theatre quite late at night.

The minimum age for volunteers at Rose Theatre is 16. For more information, visit the theatre website or contact:
