International Youth Arts Festival Advisory Group

The International Youth Arts Festival (IYAF) is ready to take over Kingston in July 2010 and you can be part of the Youth Advisory Group, assisting the festival director in programming the festival, fundraising, selecting artists to be part of the festival and also managing your own projects within the festival.

KYC

Kingston Youth Council, or simply KYC, is a group that represents the young people of Kingston. Some describe KYC to be like the normal Kingston Council, but instead with young people.

KYC isn't just for the politically minded! If you want to show adults what young people really want, take a look at the KYC pages and start being active!

Police Cadets

Metropolitan Police Volunteer Police Cadets (VPC) is open to young people aged 14 to 21 years giving them the opportunity to work with police officers, police staff, police community support officers, special constables and volunteers. The Cadets often help with local policing in relation to Safer Neighbourhood initiatives.

From time to time we want your views on issues that could affect you. To involve you in making decisions about these issues, we might release a questionnaire to gather data. If you've got some time, fill in our questionnaires and give us your input on the matter at hand.

Our planet is changing. Human activity is changing the environment in which we live causing climate change, loss of biodiveristy and putting an unsustainable burden on resources. If this trend continues, then our planet will increasingly become an unpleasant place to be.

YU Online is made by young people, for young people. The webzine is packed with fun, cool and interesting articles for you to enjoy and loads of stuff relevant to you.

Become part of the team and gain experience in all aspects of online magazine production from taking photos, modelling, writing articles, designing web pages and more.

Volunteering

Do something positive with your free time and become a volunteer. There are many different volunteering opportunities available in Kingston for a variety of organisations.

If you want to meet new people, learn some new skills which can go on your CV or want to try something different, then volunteering may be an option for you.
