Young Kingston, an exciting new charitable fund nominated as the Mayor of Kingston's Charity for 2006-7, has been set up by Kingston's Mayor for 2006-7, Councillor Mary Reid.
Its aim is to help young people living or going to school in the borough, to make the most of life's opportunities and benefit their local community. Whether it's providing funding for a local environmental clean-up or a performance about an issue that matters to them or providing talented musicians with funds so they can buy a musical instrument or travel to sporting events for promising sports people so they can compete, - we aim to help young people do it for themselves.
