Libraries

Your local library isn't just for books - Kingston's libraries offer a range of services and things to do, including competitions, workshops, clubs, events and more.
Each library has a well-equipped Youth Section with teenage fiction and non-fiction books which cater for the full range of tastes and abilities of secondary school-aged library users.
The libraries also stock a wide range of graphic novels, music CDs, computer games and films on video and DVD designed to appeal to young people.

Hook and Chessington Library
The Hook Centre, Hook Road, Chessington KT9 1EJ
Open Tuesday to Saturday, 9.30am to 5.30pm (late night till 8pm on Tuesdays and Fridays).
Genshiken Manga Group (ages 13 to 18)
Meets on the first Saturday of each month 1.30 to 2.30pm to discuss modern visual culture including manga, anime, graphic novels, computer games, manga art, etc. For further details contact Emma on 020 8547 6486.
Connexions (ages 13 to 19)
Every Tuesday 4 to 6pm teenagers can come in and talk in confidence about any subject from exam pressures to careers advice to health and lifestyle issues.
Homework Club (ages 8 to 14)
Every Thursday during term-time from 4 to 5pm and Fridays from 4.30 to 5.30pm come along to our supervised homework club offering help and advice on finding information.
Study Period (ages 13 to 19)
Every Tuesday from 4 to 6pm dedicated computers are available for quiet study.

Open Monday to Saturday (except Wednesday) from 9.30am to 5.30pm (open late to 7pm on Mondays and 8pm on Thursdays. Open from 9am on Saturdays.)
New Malden Library

Open Monday to Saturday (except Wednesdays), 9.30am to 5.30pm (open till 8pm on Mondays and Fridays).
Homework Club (ages 8 to 14)
Every Thursday during term-time from 4 to 5.15pm a librarian and IT officer will be on hand to help with homework queries.
Old Malden Library
Church Road, Worcester Park KT4 7RD
Open Monday to Friday (except Wednesdays) from 10am to 5pm (closed for lunch between 12.30 to 1.30pm daily). Open till 7pm on Mondays and Fridays. Open on Saturdays from 9am to 5.30pm.
Homework Club (ages 8 to 14)
Every Tuesday from 3.45 to 4.45pm.
Surbiton Library
Ewell Road, Surbiton KT6 6AG
Open Monday to Saturday (except Wednesdays) from 9.30am to 5.30pm (open till 7pm on Mondays and Fridays).
Book Chat Club (ages 11 to 16)

Youth Reading Group (ages 12 to 16)
Monthly on Tuesday evenings from 5.30 to 6.30pm join in discussion of your favourite reads and authors and recommend books to each other.

Tudor Drive Library

Open Monday to Friday (except Wednesday) from 10am to 5pm (till 7pm on Mondays and Fridays). Closed between 12.30 to 1.30pm daily. Open Saturday from 9am to 5pm.
