Libraries

Your local library isn't just for books - Kingston's libraries offer a range of services and things to do, including competitions, workshops, clubs, events and more.

Each library has a well-equipped Youth Section with teenage fiction and non-fiction books which cater for the full range of tastes and abilities of secondary school-aged library users.

The libraries also stock a wide range of graphic novels, music CDs and films on video and DVD designed to appeal to young people.

Team Read

Team Read

Celebrate the National Year of Reading!

Can you read or listen to six books during the Summer Holidays? Then join the Team Read at your local Kingston Library!

There are stickers and small prizes to collect as you complete the challenge. Plus read four books and collect a free swim voucher (or free play session voucher for under fours) valid at Kingfisher or Malden Centre Pools.  Read six books and collect a certificate and medal, and the chance to win £10 vouchers in a prize draw.

Team Read runs from July 1 to September 12 and is open to children and young people of all ages. Entry is free.

For more information about activities for children and young people at Kingston Libraries, please ask at your nearest Kingston Library.
